Kathleen Kennedy, the president of Lucasfilm, is the daughter of Dione Marie “Dede” (née Dousseau) and Donald R. Kennedy. Dione Marie “Dede” Dousseau, Kathleen’s mother was a one-time theater actress.

Donald R. Kennedy, Kathleen’s father was a judge and attorney. Kathleen Kennedy was born on June 5, 1953, in Berkeley, California. She has two sisters, Connie and Dana.
Connie Kennedy, Kathleen’s twin sister, was formerly a location manager in British Columbia, Canada, and is now the executive producer of the Virtual Production company Profile Studios.

Dana Middleton-Silberstein, Kathleen’s other sister, who is a television host, anchor, and former press secretary/communications director for Governor Gary Locke of Washington.
Kathleen Kennedy graduated from Shasta High School in Redding, California, in 1971. She later attended San Diego State University, where she majored in telecommunications and film.
Kennedy’s career took off when she co-founded Amblin Entertainment with Spielberg and Marshall in 1982. She produced a series of successful films, including Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984) and the Back to the Future trilogy. She also worked with legendary directors like Martin Scorsese and Robert Zemeckis.
In 1991, Kennedy and Marshall established The Kennedy/Marshall Company, continuing their partnership with Spielberg and producing major hits like Jurassic Park (1993) and Schindler’s List (1993).
