Jerry Gray is an American football coach and former player who is currently the defensive backs coach and passing game coordinator for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League.
Jerry Don Gray was born on December 16, 1962, in Lubbock, Texas, United States. He attended Lubbock Estacado High School. He played college football at the University of Texas at Austin, where he was a two-time consensus first-team All-American at the University of Texas.

Jerry Gray was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2013. He was the Los Angeles Rams’ first-round choice in the 1985 NFL Draft. He played with them for seven years (1985–1991).
Jerry Gray was selected to the Pro Bowl four times attending the game from 1986 through 1989. He has a wife named Sherry who also hails from Lubbock. The pair have two sons together with the eldest being a former defensive back for the SMU Mustangs.
