Tsatsu Tsikata is a Ghanaian lawyer, politician and one time Chief Executive of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation.

Tsikata was born on October 1 1950, in Keta, in the south of the Volta Region of Ghana. He serves as counsel to the National Democratic Congress and a leader in the party.
Tsatsu Tsikata Early Life
Tsikata attended Additrom Preparatory School, the same school attended by former President of Ghana Jerry Rawlings.
He continued at the Accra Newtown Experimental School, and later won a United Africa Company (UAC) scholarship to study at the Mfantsipim School.
He bagged his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Ghana, Legon, at the age of 14.

He had graduated with a First Class LL.B Hons.
Upon graduation, he got a post-graduate scholarship to study at Oxford University where he bagged another Bachelors degree in Civil Law, and finishing with a First Class the second time.
Tsatsu Tsikata Career
Tsikata was the Chief Executive of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation between 1988 and 2000.
Tsikata was accused causing financial loss of GH¢230,000 to the state while he headed the petroleum sector.He underwent a trial which lasted 6 years and was later found guilty.
In 2009, he was granted bail, but in November 2016, he was declared innocent and his 5-year jail term was quashed.
