Christian Wood is an American professional basketball player for the Houston Rockets of the National Basketball Association.

Christian Marquise Wood was born on September 27, 1995, in Long Beach, California, United States. His mother is Jeanette Stewart. He was brought up alongside a brother named Derek Stewart.

Christian Wood started his schooling at Los Alamitos High School in his freshman year of high school. He later transferred to Knight High School in Palmdale, California for one year and again transferred to Findlay Prep in Henderson, Nevada.

Rivals ranked Christian Wood as the No. 36 overall player in the class of 2013 (no. 8 at his position) while Scout listed him at No. 10. ESPN also listed him as the No. 71 prospect overall. He attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where he played college basketball for the UNLV Runnin’ Rebels.

Christian Wood went undrafted in the 2015 NBA draft. He joined the Houston Rockets for the 2015 NBA Summer League. He has played in the NBA for the Philadelphia 76ers, Charlotte Hornets, Milwaukee Bucks, New Orleans Pelicans, and Detroit Pistons.
