Wizkid is the first Nigerian contemporary artiste to win a Grammy award, followed by Burna Boy who also won his first Grammy that same year shortly afterward.

The ‘Essence’ hitmaker has been congratulated by many people on the internet as they hail him to be one of Africa’s greatest export in terms of music in the past decade. Wizkid is currently on tour for his Made In Lagos album, therefore, he couldn’t make it to the ceremony.

This year has been phenomenal for him as he has become more internationally recognized and topped international charts with his songs.
