Heinrich’s descent into darkness began during high school when he dropped out, a decision that would foreshadow a life marked by brushes with the law.
Arrests for drunken driving and burglary followed, painting a grim picture of his future.
However, the most horrifying chapter of Danny’s life unfolded in 1989 when he committed an unspeakable act that shook the small town of St. Joseph, Minnesota, to its core. On October 22, he abducted 11-year-old Jacob Wetterling, who was riding his bike with friends, and the whole community was left in shock.
Danny is currently serving a prison sentence in a federal prison in Massachusetts.
