Jay Penske, CEO of PMC, the parent company of Deadline and a close friend, remarked, “Despite his many achievements in Hollywood, Kevin’s greatest passion was his family and friends. He was so proud of his children. He and his wife, Evelina, were resolved that their children grow up with great values and ensured they make a difference in the broader world. Our collective heart breaks for them, and we all feel such a profound sense of loss. We will miss Kevin so much, and this town lost one of its brightest rising stars today.”
Known for his photographic memory, Turen had the ability to recall every frame of film he ever watched. An artist himself, he comprehended storytelling, communicated effectively with talent both behind and in front of the camera, and had the knack for securing financing for projects he believed in—placing art at the forefront of his endeavors. Kevin Turen leaves behind a legacy of creative contributions that will be remembered in the industry.
