George Burns children: Meet Ronnie Burns & Sandra Burns

George Burns and Gracie Allen adopted two children, Sandra Jean and Ronald Jon Burns, after discovering that they could not conceive on their own.

Sandra Jean Burns was born on July 28, 1934, and Ronald was born on July 9, 1935. The couple agreed to raise the children as Catholics and to permit them to make their own religious choices as adults.

Ronnie Burns, the son of George Burns and Gracie Allen, was an American television actor. He is primarily remembered as a regular cast member of “The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show” (1950-58) on CBS.

Ronnie Burns later appeared on “The George Burns Show” (1958-59), a short-lived series produced after his mother retired from show business. Burns starred in the 1960-61 NBC comedy series “Happy,” in which he played the manager of the Palm Desert Hotel in Palm Springs.

Ronnie Burns then went into real estate investment and raised horses at a ranch he owned in Santa Ynez, California 4. Ronnie Burns died on November 14, 2007, at his Pacific Palisades home due to cancer at the age of 72.

Ronnie Burns was survived by his wife, Janice, three sons from his first marriage: Brent, Brad, and Bryan Burns, six grandchildren, and his adopted sister, Sandra.
