Elliott embarked on his high school basketball odyssey at Bergen Catholic High School in Oradell, New Jersey.
In his freshman season, he wasted no time making his mark as the starting point guard for the school’s basketball team.
Averaging an impressive 11.3 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game, Cadeau not only showcased his skills but also led his team to an admirable 7–2 record.
His outstanding performance on the court earned him a spot on the prestigious MaxPreps Freshman All-American First Team, a recognition that highlighted his impact and potential in the world of high school basketball.
Despite a promising start at Bergen Catholic, Cadeau faced a setback in his sophomore year when a high ankle sprain, suffered during a scrimmage against Gill St. Bernard’s School in December 2021, sidelined him for the entire season.

Undeterred, Cadeau saw this as an opportunity for growth and chose to continue his high school career at Link Academy in Branson, Missouri.
Link Academy, known for fostering talent and providing a platform for players to refine their skills, became the next stop on Cadeau’s journey.
Elliott Cadeau’s impact on the high school basketball scene was undeniable, and as he approached the end of his high school career, he stood as one of the top players in the 2024 recruiting class.
However, in a surprising turn of events, Cadeau decided to reclassify to 2023, opting to join the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill a season earlier than originally anticipated.
