South Africa mourns the loss of talented actor Mpho Sebeng, who tragically passed away in a car accident on Sunday, April 5, 2024. He was 31 years old.

A statement from family spokesperson Oupa Morake confirmed that Sebeng lost his life in a car accident in Potchefstroom.
“While the family appreciates the immense outpouring of love and condolences, the family requests space to process the news. Details of his homegoing celebrations will be communicated in due course, and we request you continue to hold the Sebeng family in prayer.”
Sebeng was widely recognized for his roles in popular shows such as “Ring of Lies,” “Savage Beauty,” and “The Queen.” His exceptional talent earned him a nomination for Best Actor at the Saftas in 2018.

Industry colleagues, close friends, and fans have taken to social media to pay tribute to Mpho Sebeng, whose untimely death has sent shock waves throughout Mzansi.
Actors Florence Masebe and Itumeleng “Itu” Bokaba are among the celebrities who have penned tributes to the late star, remembering him for the contributions he made in the entertainment industry.
“What a fine young man. What a talent. What a dedicated thespian. Sending love and prayers to the Sebeng family and all Mpho’s loved ones,” Florence wrote.
“I don’t understand this life anymore, like God and I are having some serious beef right now,” Itu wrote.
