Kerr Smith, born Kerr Van Cleve Smith on March 9, 1972, hails from Exton, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Philadelphia. He was raised by his parents Rick and Barbara Smith, alongside his younger sister Alison.

During high school, Kerr was involved in sports and politics, holding positions such as class and school president. After earning a degree in Business Administration from the University of Vermont, Kerr Smith relocated to New York City to pursue an acting career.

His acting journey began with a significant role on the soap opera “As the World Turns” in 1996, where he received a Soap Opera Magazine award for Best New Actor.

Kerr’s breakthrough came when he portrayed Jack McPhee, a gay teenager, on the popular TV series “Dawson’s Creek” in 1998, earning him a GLAAD Media Award.

He has since appeared in various films and TV shows like “Final Destination”, “Charmed”, “Justice”, and “My Bloody Valentine”.

Kerr Smith has been married twice – first to actress Harmoni Everett from 2003 to 2009, and later to Lisa Smith in 2017. He does not have any children.

In his leisure time, Kerr enjoys flying airplanes, riding motorcycles, and co-owning the Venice Beach Beer Company. As of 2024, Kerr Smith is 52 years old and stands at 6 feet (1.83 m) tall.
