Anang, now 23, started at West Ham as a teenager, progressing to the first team despite limited playtime. He began his journey in Ghana at Danbort FC before moving to England at 17 to join West Ham’s academy.
During his time with the Hammers, Anang had loan spells at Stevenage, St. Patrick’s Athletic, and Derby County.
Despite being part of the squad that won the UEFA Europa Conference League last year, he didn’t get to play. Now, after seven years, Anang is leaving the club along with defender Angelo Ogbonna, as confirmed by West Ham.

Anang’s departure was acknowledged by the club, highlighting his journey from Ghana to London, his loan stints, and his appearances in over 30 first-team matchday squads.
Although he represented England at U20 level, Anang still has the option to play for Ghana.
West Ham expressed gratitude to both Anang and Ogbonna for their contributions and wished them success in their future endeavors.
Anang’s departure marks the end of a chapter at West Ham, leaving behind memories of dedication and growth.
