Jamal Musiala Sets European Record in Germany’s 2-0 Victory Over Hungary

Jamal Musiala etched his name in history as Germany secured a 2-0 victory over Hungary in Stuttgart, guaranteeing their place in the Euro 2024 knockout rounds.

Musiala, aged 21, became the youngest player to score in his nation’s first two group stage matches at a European Championship.

The Bayern Munich standout opened the scoring in the 22nd minute against Hungary, notching his second goal in a major tournament.

According to Opta, only four players—Wayne Rooney, Cristiano Ronaldo, Ferenc Bene, and Mikkel Damsgaard—have scored two goals in the European Championship at a younger age than Musiala.

Just as the game began, Manuel Neuer was called into action with an early save after only 20 seconds. However, as the match unfolded, Musiala’s goal provided Germany with the momentum to take control of the game.
