Early Life and High School

Born in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, Khyree Jackson attended Wise High School, where he quickly made a name for himself on the football field. During his senior season, Jackson’s exceptional skills were evident as he made 39 catches for 612 yards and scored 12 touchdowns. Despite early setbacks, including a brief stint at Arizona Western College, Jackson returned to Maryland and eventually found his footing at Fort Scott Community College.

College Career

At Fort Scott CC, Jackson demonstrated his prowess with 25 tackles and three interceptions in a single season, catching the attention of larger football programs. He transferred to East Mississippi Community College but faced challenges when the 2020 season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Undeterred, Jackson seized an opportunity to play Division I football with the Alabama Crimson Tide in 2021, marking a significant milestone in his career. His dedication paid off when he earned his first career start in the 2021 National Championship game against Georgia.

Jackson’s journey at Alabama continued with notable performances, but it was marred by a suspension in November 2022. Despite this setback, he remained resilient and announced his decision to transfer to the Oregon Ducks, where he excelled as a starting cornerback during the 2023 season. His outstanding contributions earned him recognition as First Team All Pac-12, showcasing his talent and impact on the field.

Professional Career

In 2024, Khyree Jackson’s dream of playing in the NFL became a reality when he was selected by the Minnesota Vikings in the fourth round of the NFL Draft. His draft pick represented not only his skill and potential but also the culmination of years of hard work and dedication to the sport he loved.

Tragically, Khyree Jackson’s promising career was cut short on July 6, 2024, when he lost his life in a car accident in Maryland.
