Chelsea Football Club Women team have announced the signing of Manchester United Women team forward, Lauren James, on a four-year deal.

Lauren James, sister of Chelsea defender Reece James, was part of the Chelsea Academy from Under-10s to Under-14s. The forward made her debut for Arsenal aged 16 in October 2017 before signing a first professional contract with Manchester United in July 2018.

Lauren James scored 14 goals in 18 games for Manchester United helping them to gain promotion to the top flight Women Football.
After a stint on the Chelsea books, Lauren James re-joins the Female Blues from Manchester United ahead of our 2021/22 Barclays FA Women’s Super League season.

Lauren James has represented England at Under-17 and Under-19 levels and received her first senior call-up as part of a training camp in November 2020.

“It’s a great feeling to come back home, to a great club, the club I started at the age of six.” She told Chelsea’s Official Website.
“To be able to play for the first team now and come back here to Emma and the rest of the group is a great feeling.
‘I’m excited to get started and I can’t wait to meet all the fans at Kingsmeadow when the new season kicks in.” Lauren Said in the statement.
