Rema’s ‘Soundgasm’ Rakes In 12 Million Streams On Spotify 2 Months After Its Release

Nigerian artiste, Rema has raked in 12 million-plus streams for his song ‘Soundgasm’ just two months after its release.

This is by far one of the highest streams for a song by an African artiste on the recognized platform within a short time. Rema is part of the top five African artistes with the most monthly listeners on Spotify. And the most streamed male artiste on Spotify without an album. He has over 200 million streams on the platform so far, however, his debut album has not even been released yet. He is also the 10th most-streamed Afrobeats artiste of all time. His most streamed song on Spotify is ‘Dumebi,’ which has a little over 45 million streams so far.

A few weeks ago, Rema announced that his debut album ‘Raves & Roses’ will be out soon. And that, it’ll be an album that will blow everyone’s mind as it has been packed with loads of bangers. Rema’s relevance in the music industry has been very well appreciated. He once featured on the summer playlist of Former US President, Barack Obama, with his song, ‘Spiderman.’
