Katie and Blake met during Season 17 of The Bachelorette. Blake joined Katie’s cast midway through the season, having previously dated Clare Crawley and Tayshia Adams in season 16. Then, as Blake and Katie fell in love, Bachelor Nation viewers watched.
But unfortunately, Katie Thurston and Blake Moynes have broken off their engagement just a few months after The Bachelorette’s finale.
Katie and Blake decided whether or not to get engaged in the Bachelorette finale on Aug. 9. The reality stars, of course, appeared to be in love.
What exactly caused the breakup?
Meeting the family, on the other hand, highlighted certain things they still needed to work out outside of the Bachelor bubble. Katie, for example, used to reside in Seattle but now lives in San Diego. Blake, on the other hand, is a Canadian who has been working in Africa.

Katie, however, took to her Instagram page on October,25 saying “It is with mutual love and respect that we have decided to go our separate ways,” they wrote in a joint statement. “We are so grateful for the moments we shared together and the entire journey that has unfolded this year.”
Katie and Blake also discussed why they split up, claiming that they still want the best for one other in the future. They stated:
“We ultimately have concluded that we are not compatible as life partners, and it is the most caring choice for both of us to move forward independently. We ask for kindness and privacy as we both navigate this transition. Both of us will forever want the best for one another and ask you to please support us in our decision.”
Many Bachelorette fans and contestants from The Bachelor series remarked on the Instagram postings following Blake and Katie’s separation news. Some viewers were shocked by the news, while others were saddened by it.
