PJ Fleck is an American football coach and former player, currently serving as the head coach for the Minnesota Golden Gophers football team.

Philip John Fleck Jr was born on November 29, 1980, in Sugar Grove, Illinois, United States. He went to Kaneland High School located in Maple Park, Illinois where he started his playing career alongside the Knights.
PJ Fleck graduated from Northern Illinois University with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education in 2004. He was a wide receiver for Northern Illinois University from 1999 to 2003.
PJ Fleck was signed as an undrafted free agent by the San Francisco 49ers following the 2004 NFL Draft. He was with the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL) from 2004 to 2005.

PJ Fleck is the former head coach of the Western Michigan Broncos football team and is the father of five children including stepson Gavin Jackson, sons Carter Joseph (C. J.) and Colt, and daughters Paisley Jane (P.J.) and Harper. He married Heather Jackson on February 11, 2016.
