John Errington, known professionally as John Miles was a British rock music vocalist, guitarist, and keyboard player who was best known for his 1976 Top 3 UK hit single “Music”. John Miles was born on 23 April 1949, in Jarrow, County Durham, England.

John Miles’s debut came when he was a member of a local band called The Influence, which also included Paul Thompson, later drummer with Roxy Music, and Vic Malcolm, later lead guitarist with Geordie. John Miles won the “Outstanding Musical Achievement” award at the 2017 Progressive Music Awards.

John Miles died after suffering a short illness on 5 December 2021, at the age of 72.

John Miles Jr. was born in London and he has been following the footsteps of his father for some time. He studied pop music at Newcastle College and has been associated with Milk Inc. dance band who was responsible for the publishing of most of his songs.
