Andrés Iniesta Luján is a Spanish professional footballer who currently plays as a midfielder for the J1 League team Vissel Kobe. Iniesta, regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of all time, spent most of his career at Barcelona, where he was captain for three seasons.

As to why he left the club, it was assumed that since he’d spent his whole career at Barcelona, Iniesta was undoubtedly looking for a change of scenery and a new lease on life. Indeed, Iniesta was a standout performer for Barcelona during his final season.
