On March 16, 2022, Jannik Sinner, the talented Italian player seeded 10th in Indian Wells, withdrew from the singles due to an illness, according to BNP Paribas Open.

Jannik Sinner was born on August 16, 2001, to Hanspeter Sinner and Siglinde Sinner in San Candido, Italy.

He grew up with his brother, Marc, and parents in Sexten.

Jannik Sinner’s mother Siglinde Sinner works as a waitress at Val Pusteria, Italy where her husband Hanspeter Sinner works as a chef.

They have worked at Sesto-Val-Talschlusshutte restaurant in Fiscalina Valley, Italy.

Hanspeter Sinner and his wife Siglinde also formerly worked at the ski lodge in Sexten.
