Who owns Rogers Communications Inc? Is Rogers owned by AT&T? Is Rogers owned by Bell?

Rogers Communications Inc. is a communications and media conglomerate based almost entirely in Canada. It began as a single FM radio station in Toronto in 1960 and has grown to become the country’s largest wireless provider, as well as a prominent cable firm and a major participant in broadcasting, publishing, and sports entertainment.

City TV, Chatelaine magazine, and the Toronto Blue Jays are just a few of the company’s many brands. Edward Samuel (Ted) Rogers Jr. founded and built Rogers Communications, making him one of Canada’s most successful entrepreneurs.

Ted Rogers died of heart failure on December 2, 2008, at the age of 75, leaving behind one of Canada’s most well-known corporations, with annual revenue of more than $11 billion, the most wireless and cable subscribers of any company, and a diverse portfolio of media holdings from coast to coast.

Rogers is not owned by AT&T. AT&T was a former investor in Roger. However, Samuel Rogers the CEO of Roger Communications bought them out of the company.

Rogers is not owned by Bell. Bell owns Virgin Mobile and Lucky Mobile whilst Rogers Wireless owns Fido and Chatr. Roger Communication Inc’s voting control is held by the Rogers Control Trust for the benefit of subsequent generations of Ted Rogers’ family. Members of the Rogers family and trusts for their benefit own the equity in the private Rogers family holding corporations.
