According to the arrest warrant, on April 6, a woman and her roommate discovered a recording device inside their dorm room. They reported the discovery to LSU police the next day. According to the warrant, the woman told police she discovered the device, which appeared to be a phone charger, under her futon.
She told officers that she thought her ex-boyfriend, Hardy, had left the device in her room earlier because he seemed to know details about her life that she hadn’t told him about.
