Is Lachlan Gillespie still a Wiggles?

Lachlan Gillespie is still a wiggle. Lachlan Gillespie is the current Purple Wiggle.  Lachlan Gillespie is a singer, musician, and actor from Australia.

Gillespie joined the Wiggles in 2009, first as Captain Feathersword in the “Dorothy the Dinosaur Traveling Show,” then as a Wiggly Dancer and Wags the Dog on the group’s regular tour.

In May 2012, it was announced that Gillespie would take over as Purple Wiggle for founding member Jeff Fatt at the start of the following year.

Gillespie began playing the piano at the age of four and formal singing lessons when he was twelve. As a teenager, he attended the Fame School of Performing Arts, later earning a Bachelor of Arts in musical theatre at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), and performing in musicals in Melbourne and New York. He has worked as a vocal and drama coach for children aged four to thirteen.

Dana Stephensen, a ballet dancer, proposed to Gillespie on April 9, 2020, after meeting on the set of the Wiggles in December 2018. Gillespie announced the birth of their twin daughters, Lottie and Lulu, on September 11, 2020.
