Kim Biermann was born in Pensacola, Florida, to a military family and grew up in Windsor Locks, Connecticut. Her parents are Joseph and Karen Zolciak. She is of Polish and Italian descent and was raised Roman Catholic.

Kim’s father was arrested for battery in November 2021 after allegedly getting physical with his wife Karen Zolciak. The fight began when Karen saw Joe speaking to a female neighbour and things escalated from there.

A police report said Joseph allegedly pushed her, causing her to fall and hit the right side of her head on an antique table.
However, Joseph claimed that his wife fell because she was intoxicated.
It is reported that Kim and her parents are not in talking terms. This was revealed when a fan asked on Instagram if she has any communication with her parents. Kim responded and said, “No!!! It’s ok I’ve accepted it! It’s one thing to mess with me but when you hurt my kids…bye!!!”
