Anett Kontaveit is a professional tennis player. She has been ranked as high as world No. 2 by the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA), which she first achieved on 6 June 2022.

What country is Kontaveit from? Kontaveit was born in Tallinn, Estonia and she’s an Estonian.
Kontaveit won the Estonian Championships in 2009, being the youngest player ever in Estonia to do so, and she won again in 2010.
With her qualification for the 2021 WTA Finals, Kontaveit became the first Estonian to participate in the year-end championship and she reached the final.

More so, Kontaveit’s ranking of world No. 2 by the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA), which she first achieved on 6 June 2022 has made her the highest-ranked Estonian player in history.
Kontaveit has also peaked at No. 95 in the doubles rankings, achieved on 2 March 2020.
Kontaveit has won six singles titles on the WTA Tour as well as eleven singles and five doubles titles on the ITF Circuit.
She also competed one Premier Mandatory semifinal at the 2019 Miami Open and the finals of two Premier 5/WTA 1000 events, the 2018 Wuhan Open and the 2022 Qatar Total Open.
Kontaveit reached her maiden Grand Slam quarterfinal at the 2020 Australian Open.
