“After trailing at the half, Paul inspired a stunning comeback, gathering 26 disposals and booting two goals in a Norm Smith Medal-winning performance.”

Dear won the North Smith Medal for his performance in the Hawks’ 1991 grand final victory over West Coast at Waverley. After making his debut in 1987, he played in 123 matches for the club over nine years.
