Chelsea and her ex-husband Taika Waititi have two daughters, Matewa Kiritapu and Te Hinekhu.

Matewa is the youngest and Te Hinekahu is the oldest. Matewa is six years old, and Te is nine years old. His daughters appear to be movie buffs, as they are frequently seen cosplaying and impersonating movie characters.
Taika’s daughters frequently accompany him on shooting days during school breaks. With such strong parental influence, Te and Matewa are likely to follow in their parents’ footsteps as filmmakers.
It’s not obvious what Taika’s daughter’s name means. Her father, on the other hand, had joked with his friends that Te Hinekhu meant “Tupac’s Resurrection” or “Mazda RX7,” after Taika Waititi’s beloved car.
