Vin Scully Children: Who Are Michael A. Scully And Cat Scully?

Vin Scully, the legendary American sportscaster had four children, two stepchildren, sixteen grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren from two marriages.

Vin had three children from his marriage to his first wife Joan Crawford who died in 1972 at the age of 35, from an “accidental overdose of medicine”.

After Joan’s passing, the children were all taken care of by Vin.

Vin’s eldest son, Michael A. Scully, whom he had with his first wife Joan, died in a helicopter crash at the age of 33 while working for the ARCO Transportation Company.

Michael was inspecting oil pipelines for leaks near Fort Tejon, California in the immediate aftermath of the Northridge earthquake in January 1994.

Following the passing of Joan, Vin got married to his second wife, Sandra, who, at the time, was serving as the secretary for the NFL’s Los Angeles Rams.

• Cat Scully

Sandra already had two children from her previous marriage. Sandra and Vin later had a daughter of their own named Catherine.

Sandra passed away at the age of 76 in January 2021 due to complications from ALS, reports USA Today.

They were married for 47 years. And, at the time of her passing, Sandra had twenty-one grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Vin sadly passed away on August 2, 2022, at his home in Hidden Hills, California, at the age of 94.
