Pro wrestler Chris Jericho was born on November 9, 1970, to his parents, Ted Irvine and Loretta Vivian Irvine.

Ted Irvine

Chris’ father, Ted, is a former hockey player who played in the NHL as a left winger between the 1960s and 1970s.

Ted was born on December 8, 1944, in Winnipeg, Canada

Between 1963 and 1977, he played for the Boston Bruins; New York Rangers; Los Angeles Kings; St. Louis Blues.

He recorded a total of 331 points in 774 games played throughout his career. He had won jersey number 27.

Loretta Vivian Irvine

Chris’mother, Loretta, was born on September 17, 1943.

She passed away on December 2, 2005, at age 62. She had divorced her husband Ted along the line in their marriage.

Chris Jericho Early Life And Career

Chris got enrolled into the Hart Brothers School of Wrestling, at age 19, and there he was trained by Ed Langley and local Calgary wrestler Brad Young.

Upon completion of his training, Chris began wrestling on independent shows.

He has worked for the likes of Tony Condello, Adam Copeland (Edge), Jason Reso (Christian) and Terry Gerin (Rhino).

He has also wrestled in Calgary’s Canadian National Wrestling Alliance (CNWA) and Canadian Rocky Mountain Wrestling (CRMW).

In 2006, Chris starred in the Sci-Fi movie Android Apocalypse alongside Scott Bairstow and Joey Lawrence.

He has previously acted on stage in the comedy play Opening Night. In addition, he played host to the sketch comedy show Sunday Night Live with sketch troupe The Sketchersons.
