Luis Guzman rose to prominence on television with a recurring role on the HBO prison drama Oz, as well as appearances on Law and Order, NYPD Blue, and Walker, Texas Ranger.
Guzman was nominated for an Imagen Award for Best Supporting Actor in 2002 for his role in another Paul Thomas Anderson film, “Punch Drunk Love,” in which he co-starred with Adam Sandler.
