Claressa Shields is an American professional boxer and mixed martial artist.

In her amateur career, Shields won gold medals in the women’s middleweight division at the 2012 and 2016 Olympics, making her the first American boxer to win consecutive Olympic medals.

Claressa Shields made her professional boxing debut on November 19, 2016 against Franchón Crews-Dezurn at the age of 21 years. She defeated Crews-Dezurn via 4-round UD.

She also made her MMA debut at PFL 4 on June 10, 2021 against Brittney Elkin and won the fight via technical knockout in round three.

In 2018, the Boxing Writers Association of America named her the Female Fighter of the Year.
