Why did Kaka retire so early?

Kaká, is a Brazilian former professional footballer who played as an attacking midfielder.

Kaká was widely regarded as one of the best players of his generation during his prime as a playmaker at AC Milan, a period marked by his creative passing, goal scoring, and dribbles from midfield.

He is one of only eight players in history to have won the FIFA World Cup, the UEFA Champions League, and the Ballon d’Or.

He announced his retirement from football in December 2017, stating that “it isn’t a joy to play anymore” and that “his body couldn’t cope with it” due to pain after matches due to his age.

He expressed a desire to follow in the footsteps of Zinedine Zidane and “take time off, figure things out, and take on a new role as a manager, sporting director, or any role between the club and the field.”

He was offered the position of sporting director at AC Milan but declined, citing “personal reasons.”

In addition to his individual honors, he was named to the FIFA World XI and the UEFA Team of the Year three times between 2006 and 2009. He was inducted into the AC Milan Hall of Fame in 2010.
