Renowned author and TV star, Fern Britton, was born to English actor Tony Britton and Ruth Britton.

Tony Britton was an actor who starred in various movies as far back as the 1950s; and TV shows such as Don’t Wait Up and Robin’s Nest.

Ruth divorced her husband, actor Tony Britton, at a time when Fern was a child.

She raised up her two children as a single mum and had been a brave supporter of their careers.

Ruth later remarried and moved on with life. She died in 2018, at age 94.
