Anna Sorokin, also known as Anna Delvey, is a German con artist and fraudster who posed as a wealthy heiress to gain access to the upper echelons of the New York social and art scenes from 2013 to 2017.

Anna Sorokin was released from federal custody on a $10,000 bail bond on October 7, 2022. She is required to remain in 24-hour home confinement with electronic monitoring and no access to social media as of October 2022.

The NYPD arrested Sorokin in a sting operation in 2017 with the assistance of her former friend, Rachel DeLoache Williams, whom Sorokin had defrauded of $57,000.

Sorokin was convicted of attempted grand larceny, larceny in the second degree, and theft of services in a New York state court in 2019 and sentenced to 4 to 12 years in prison.

She was remanded into the custody of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement for deportation to Germany after serving two years.
