Noel Duggan was a singer, songwriter and guitarist from Ireland. He was one of the founding members of the legendary Irish band, Clannad.

Duggan was born in Gweedore, County Donegal, Ireland on January 23, 1949. He holds an Ireland Nationality and belongs to the white ethnicity.

Clannad was formed in 1970 in Gweedor, County Donegal by siblings Ciaran, Pol and Moya Brenna and their uncles Noel and Padraig.

Clannad’s international breakthrough came when the band was asked to record the theme for the ITV mini-series Harry’s Game, set during the Troubles in Northern Ireland.
The group successfully bridged traditional Celtic music pop and became the first band to sin in Irish on Top of the Pops in 1982.
