Who Is Lady Leshurr?

Lady Leshurr, whose real name is Melesha Katrina O’Garro, is a rapper, singer, songwriter and producer, known for her Queen’s Speech series of freestyles.

Leshurr was born on December 15, 1987, in Birmingham, U.K.

She is also famous for competing in the thirteenth series of Dancing on Ice and for winning The Celebrity Circle for Stand Up to Cancer.

Leshurr appeared as a lead character in the 2009 film 1 Day and released her award-winning mixtape in 2011 titled Friggin. The named had inspired her clothing line “Friggin L” clothing.

As a foremost rapper, Leshurr has clinched several awards and accolades such as the MOBO Award, the Birmingham Music Awards, and the British Empire Medal (BEM).

In 2020, Leshurr became a brand ambassador for beauty brand Olay and the same year, she began anchoring 1Xtra on BBC Radio and currently, she is a guest panellist on the ITV show Loose Women.
