Realmuto hit.275 with a career-high 25 home runs in 532 at-bats in 2019. He also had the most RBIs (83), runs (90), hits (144), and doubles (36).

Defensively, he threw out 37 attempted base stealers that season, the most among major league catchers and the most by a Phillies catcher since Darren Daulton in 1993.

Realmuto won his first Gold Glove on November 3, joining Bob Boone and Mike Lieberthal as the third Phillies catcher to do so.

Realmuto was also named to the first-ever All-MLB First Team in December of that year, making him the only Phillies player to be named to either All-MLB team in 2019.
