Art Fowler was an American pitcher and pitching coach in the MLB.
Fowler was born on July 3, 1922, and played for the Cincinnati Redlegs, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Los Angeles Angels.
The right-handed pitcher played with the New York Giants, after the team signed him as an amateur free agent in the 1944 season.
Fowler finished his playing career with a win–loss record of 54–51, an earned run average
of 4.03, and 539 Strikeouts.

He went ahead to coach the Minnesota Twins, Detroit Tigers, Texas Rangers, New York Yankees, and Oakland Athletics.
Fowler stood at 5 ft 11 inches (1.80 m) tall while he was alive. He also weighed 180 lb (82 kg).
Fowler passed away on January 29, 2007, in Spartanburg, South Carolina. He was aged 84.
He was buried in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Spartanburg, Spartanburg County, South Carolina.
In the 2007, ESPN portrayed Bill Buell as Fowler in its miniseries The Bronx is Burning.
