Julie Powell was a food blogger best known for her cooking memoir, Julie & Julia, which inspired a film starring Meryl Streep. She was born Julie Foster on April 20, 1973 and died on October 26, 2022 at the age of 49.

She was married to Eric Powell, an editor for the magazine Archaeology (married in 1998). They had no children.
Julie released “Julie & Julia: 365 Days, 524 Recipes, 1 Tiny Apartment Kitchen” in 2005. The book became a hit and was later made into a movie, “Julie & Julia.”
