Kusal Mendis is a famous Cricketer, who was born on February 2, 1995 in Sri Lanka. Balapuwaduge Kusal Gimhan Mendis, known as Kusal Mendis ; born 2 February 1995) is a professional Sri Lankan cricketer who plays for all forms of the game.

At the Pallekele Cricket Stadium on July 28, 2016, Mendis hit his first Test century against Australia in the first Test. Kusal Mendis achieved the greatest score against Australia on home soil and became the youngest Sri Lankan to score a century.

This was only Sri Lanka’s second Test victory over Australia, and they did it by a margin of 106 runs. Mendis’ performance earned him the Man of the Match honor.
