Landon attended the Hickory High School and later on moved to South Caldwell high School. Landon accomplished a couple of titles in high school career and was rated a four- star recruit when he was entering college.

Landon agreed to go to the Florida State over other college’s including Virginia Tech, Tennessee, Georgia and Auburn. In Florida State college Landon continued to make headlines and accomplished a lot when he was there.
At the end the season the transfer window open and Landon entered transfer portal. Landon moved to Alabama as a graduate transfer.
