Jill Roach was the ex-wife of John Young Brown Jr., an American politician, entrepreneur, and businessman from the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

The couple were married from 1998 to 2003. Brown was born in Lexington, Kentucky on December 28, 1933. Brown joined his father’s law firm after graduating from law school.
Brown left his father’s law firm after only a few years to pursue a business career. In 1964, he co-purchased Kentucky Fried Chicken from Harland Sanders after serving in the US Army Reserve.

From 1979 to 1983, he was Kentucky’s 55th governor. His governorship saw a more diverse cabinet than previous administrations, as well as the establishment of programs that are still in use today.
Brown was named one of the top American business leaders of the twentieth century by Harvard Business School in 2009, alongside Ray Kroc, Sam Walton, Walt Disney, and Bill Gates.
John Y. Brown Jr., died on November 22,2022. He was 88. He had been dealing with health complications derived from COVID-19 since the summer.
Brown’s children confirmed his death in a statement, calling him a “true Kentucky original who beamed with pride for his home state and its people.”
