Troy Townsend is the father of English professional footballer Andros Townsend.

Troy Townsen is a football coach, television presenter and former player.
He has served as the Head of Development for Kick It Out since December 2014. The organisation works within the football, educational and community sectors to challenge discrimination, encourage inclusive practices and work for positive change.
As a player, Troy was a youth product of Millwall and Crystal Palace before falling out of the game.
He managed non-league sides Cheshunt and Leyton FC, as well as being an assistant manager at Boreham Wood Football Club, Dover Athletic, and coach at Slough Town and Potters Bar.

Troy Townsend co-founded the S&T Academy in June 2010 – for talented youngsters from deprived areas who needed guidance, mentoring and professional coaching.
Between June 2014 and May 2015, he served as the Manager and Coach for the Under 17’s team at Redbridge Football Club.
Since May 2016, Troy Townsend has been a Guest Contributor on The Guardian football weekly.
Troy Townsend is married to Katerina Erodotou and together they share three children; Andros Townsend, Kurtis Townsend and Nadine Townsend.
Their son Kurtis Townsend died in a car crash on December 15, 2001, when travelling to play a game for Cheshunt FC.
