Angus King Wife: Meet Mary Herman King

Angus King is an American politician and attorney who currently serves as the junior United States Senator from Maine.

Prior to his election to the Senate, he served as the 72nd Governor of Maine from 1995 to 2003.

King is an independent, but caucuses with the Democratic Party in the Senate. He is known for his centrist views and his focus on fiscal responsibility and government accountability.

The first spouse of King was Edie Birney.   King’s three oldest sons are raised by her. In 1982, King and Birney got divorced.

King wed Mary Herman, his current spouse, in 1984. King has six grandchildren in addition to five children.
