During the detective’s home scene, the team made very good use of a property located on Holy Island, while the house’s interior scenes are shot on a studio set in North Tyneside.

“The exterior of Vera’s home is on Holy Island, while the interior is a set at our Wallsend studio base,” lead character, Brenda Blethyn revealed.
