Who is Guggenheim Partners owned by?
The CEO of the $300 billion-plus in assets-under-management investment firm Guggenheim Partners is Mark Walter. When Walter merged his Chicago-based company, Liberty Hampshire, into the Guggenheim family office in the late 1990s, he contributed to founding the company.

The SEC’s investigation into Guggenheim over contentious real estate transactions connected to Walter reportedly finished in May 2019 without finding any wrongdoing.
In addition to Beyond Meat and Carvana, Walter has personal investments in both companies.
Since 2012, when his investment group, which also includes Magic Johnson, paid $2.2 billion for the LA Dodgers, Walter has owned the team.
Guggenheim announced the opening of a representative office in Tokyo and the appointment of Atsuhito Sakai as Senior Managing Director and Guggenheim’s Representative in Japan in July 2014.
