Francis James Cameron MBE was a New Zealand cricketer who played 19 Tests as a fast bowler for his country.

Cameron had three five-wicket hauls in an inning during his Test career for New Zealand, two of them against South Africa in 1961-62, when New Zealand drew 2-2 in the five-Test series.

Frank Cameron, a former New Zealand test bowler and selector, died in Christchurch at the age of 90.
Cameron, a right-arm outswing bowler, collected 62 wickets in 19 games for New Zealand between 1961 and 1965, at a good average of 29.82.
His best test performance was against Pakistan at Eden Park in Auckland, where he took 4-36 in the first innings and 5-34 in the second, totaling 9-70 in a low-scoring drawn match while bowling first-change behind speedsters Richard Collinge and Dick Motz.

During his long teaching career, Cameron served as deputy principal of Otago Boys’ High School and was given an MBE in 1987 for services to cricket.
