Christopher Michael Benoit was a professional wrestler from Canada. During his 22-year wrestling career, he worked for a number of promotions, most notably the World Wrestling Federation/World Wrestling Entertainment.

Benoit was the twelfth WWE Triple Crown Champion and the seventh WCW Triple Crown Champion, and the second of only four men in history to hold both the WWE and WCW titles. Benoit also won the 2004 Royal Rumble, joining Shawn Michaels and Edge as the only men to win a Royal Rumble as the number one entrant. Benoit headlined several WWE pay-per-views, including the World Heavyweight Championship main event match at WrestleMania XX in March 2004.

Benoit debuted in World Championship Wrestling in June 1992, teaming up with fellow Canadian wrestler Biff Wellington for the NWA World Tag Team Championship tournament; they were defeated in the first round at Clash of the Champions XIX by Brian Pillman and Jushin Thunder Liger.
