Who Is Chris Packham?
Chris Packham is a British naturalist, wildlife photographer, TV personality and author, famous for hosting the CBBC children’s nature series The Really Wild Show from the mid 80s to mid 90s.
Born on May 4, 1961, Packham graduated from the University of Southampton, where he studied Zoology. Upon graduation, he began training in wildlife photography.

Packham worked with the BBC presenting Autumnwatch, Winterwatch, and Spring watch.

In the 80s, he hosted The Living Planet series and The Living Isles on BBC and Ourselves and Other Animals, on Channel 4.
Other programmes he has hosted include The X Creatures, the documentary series Animal Einsteins, Chris and Meg’s Wild Summer, which he co-presented with his step daughter, Megan McCubbin.
In 2022, he co-presented Our Changing Planet on BBC and played narrator on the nature series Dogs in the Wild: Meet the Family.
Packham has received several media awards and national honors including a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in 2019.
